Haverford is truly a college by the student and for the student. Built on the Quaker philosophies of tolerance and the importance of the individual experience, there is an emphasis at Haverford on the student voice. The Honor Code, a distinguishing factor of Haverford, is a document created by the students for the Haverford community, based on trust and respect, and acts as a visual representation of the values that are important on campus. The ideals embodied in the Honor Code permeate all aspects of life at Haverford. Professors treat students as scholars in training, and, as an undergraduate institution, students have the opportunity to work closely with professors in research that would normally be reserved for graduate students. Set on 200 acres in suburban Haverford, PA, students are offered a unique intellectual experience at Haverford College.
