University of Vermont

The University of Vermont is at the top of a hill coming up from Lake Champlain.  It is a large property with 4 campuses.  There are about 10,000 undergraduates and 2,000 graduate students.  The university is made up of 7 undergraduate colleges, an Honors College, a Graduate College (offering 50 masters programs and 24 PhD programs) and a Medical College.  UVM considers itself an “active campus with a conscience” and the most commonly used descriptors are “green, global, inclusive, community”.
