The personal essay is one of the key elements for most applications, allowing the admissions office to get to know the student outside of their academic record or activity list. How do you best reflect yourself? We'll work together to brainstorm topics and ensure that they have a well-crafted essay that sets them apart.
Application Guidance

Senior fall is busy with school work, sports and other activities. Layer college applications on top of that and students can feel overwhelmed, especially when navigating unfamiliar territory. We work with students so that they have established a solid list of schools that they want to apply to by the end of the summer and know the deadlines and requirements for each. From there we work together to perfect their application and ensure that everything is submitted on time.
Meet the Team
Jackson Hole College Consulting was founded by Sarah Phocas in 2016 to help high school students and their families navigate the complex college planning process. Gina joined the team in 2025 and became the proud owner in 2026. We're here to assist students with all aspects of the journey and help alleviate the stress.
Sarah Phocas
Sarah helped countless students through the college search and selection process, always focusing on the best fit for each student as they transition to their next chapter. As a a graduate of Bowdoin College, the IECA Summer Training Institute, and the UCLA College Counseling Certificate program, she shared her professional expertise and personalized approach with all her clients.
